Integrating with DataDog

Integrating With DataDog Using SignifAI's Active Inspector®

Datadog is a SaaS-based monitoring and analytics platform for IT infrastructure, operations, and development teams. It brings together data from servers, databases, applications, tools, and services to present a unified view of the applications that run at scale in the cloud.

Connect Datadog to SignifAI’s Active Inspector® to automatically analyze all Datadog metrics, data points, and events. SignifAI collects crucial data points from each application as well as your hosts and applies anomaly detection algorithms and predictive analysis to notify you in advance of potential issues. You will have the ability to correlate data across different systems and platform.

Active Inspector® Installation

Locate your API key and Application Key in the Datadog Integrations section.

  1. To find your REST API key: From the Integrations menu bar, select APIs.
  2. Name your new API key (for example SignifAI) and click on Create API key.
  3. Name your New application key (for example SignifAI-Active-Inspector) and click on Create Application Key.
  4. Log in to the main SignifAI console and navigate to the Sensors tab.
  5. Select DataDog and choose the Active Inspector tab.
  6. Copy and paste the new API Key and the Application Key that you have just created into SignifAI.

First Time Collection

The first time the Datadog Active Inspector® runs, it will take a while to complete. During that time, it collects between 14 to 30 days worth of information (depending on your account size). This helps to tune our algorithms with a much lower false positive rate. It also allows us to discover different types of metrics and events over time.
