Correlate Prometheus Alerts

Prometheus is an open-source system monitoring and alerting toolkit. It works well for recording any purely numeric time series data. It fits both machine-centric and highly dynamic service-oriented architecture monitoring.

Integrating with Prometheus

Alerting rules in Prometheus send alerts to an Alertmanager. The Alertmanager manages those alerts and distributes them accordingly. Connect Prometheus Alertmanager to SignifAI to receive all of your alerts and events in a single place.

SignifAI's Deep Knowledge℠ engine automatically correlates your alerts with any other application metrics or events across your stack and allows you to apply your own logic, rules and decisions on top of your existing data.

Web Collector Installation

  1. Set up your alert manager config file by running: ./alertmanager -config.file=simple.yml

  2. In the <webhook_config> section, add to the url: line your SignifAI web collector for Prometheus webhook.

  3. Reload the Prometheus Alertmanager service.

A configuration reload is triggered by sending a SIGHUP to the process or by sending an HTTP POST request to the /-/reload endpoint.

Active Inspector® Installation

In order to collect specific data points from your time-series streams, it is required to install our Agent based sensors.
To actively collect data points from your Prometheus cluster, please refer to the SignifAI Prometheus Exporters Collector.
